As you can see, I love a good find and these two lamps I found at GW
are just that. It is unusual to find two of something so I was pretty
excited to find these lamps. I wish I had a before pic because they were
yellow and needed some TLC...Some Annie Sloan paint in Duck Egg
with dark wax and they are beautiful. Oh, forgot to mention that they
were only $8 each and I already had the lamp shades. I am addicted to
great deals!

FUN FALL PROJECTS
I love Fall and
especially love to decorate for it. I am inspired by so many things
around me, friends, magazines, HGTV of course. haha! If you get creative
you can copy many ideas from many sources. My much loved source is Pottery Barn. Here are a few of my projects mostly inspired by PB.
My friend Wendy made some adorable pumpkins made out of fabric and real
stems. I thought I would give it a try, and really loved how they
turned out. The hardest part about making these is being lucky enough to
find some pumpkin stems at the bottom of the boxes they sell them in
the stores. You really have to fish around to find one. lol..I used
dupioni silk for these, next time I want to try some beautiful crushed
velvet. For fun I added some dried basil leaves around the stem for more
real effect.

| Painted these cute side tables I bought from a local Antique store, also painted the lantern on the table that I got from Kohl's. I am not good at taking before photos. Note to self...take before photos:) My first time using Annie Sloan chalk paint. No need to sand or prime before painting. Love it! |

My French Farmhouse Foyer...
This only looks like wallpaper, it's actually a stencil by Cutting Edge design. The pattern is a damask print. The good thing is when you grow tired of it you can easily paint over, no scraping off wallpaper. I was a little worried at first because it is a busy print but if you use it in small doses it makes a dramatic statement. Try it you'll like it, I promise:)

To Everything there is a Season

Just wanted to share some pictures of the seasons we have experienced here so far. Fall was just breathtaking and Winter was "well" a Wonderland. I am now starting to see the beauty of Spring and am looking forward to what Summer has to bring. Stay tuned...I've included some pics of my handsome boys(young men) because they are seasons in your life too.
Spring is when they come to you
Summer is when they grow
Fall is when your their everything
and Winters when they go...
